WWE SmackDown (8/23): Women’s Tag Team Title Match Announced For Bash In Berlin | WWE

Bash in Berlin is just around the corner, and fans are eagerly anticipating the action-packed championship matches. SmackDown’s General Manager, Nick Aldis, has raised the excitement even further by adding another thrilling title match to the card. Aldis made the announcement on X, sharing previews of the latest SmackDown episode, and confirmed that the Women’s Tag Team Title Match is now officially set for Bash in Berlin.

Women’s Tag Team Title Match Confirmed for Bash In Berlin

Aldis kicked off the event by welcoming fans and viewers to Washington D.C., the location of Friday’s festivities. He announced that the episode would begin with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appearing on The Grayson Waller Effect, a confrontation that stemmed from a recent exchange between Rhodes and Waller on X.
Aldis then reminded everyone that the night’s entertainment would include a six-woman tag team match, featuring Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi reuniting their dominant WrestleMania 40 team to face Blair Davenport and Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre. GM Aldis added, “And speaking of the WWE women’s tag team championships, at Bash in Berlin, I have decided that Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre will defend their titles against Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.”

Dawn and Fyre claimed the championships from Cargill and Belair in a shocking upset at WWE Clash at the Castle in Scotland back in June. Since then, they’ve successfully defended the titles three times, most recently on this week’s WWE Raw, where they defeated Damage CTRL and the Pure Fusion Collective in a triple threat tag team match. Their other two defenses included a match on WWE NXT against Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend of Meta-Four, and a SmackDown match against Cargill and Belair, which ended in disqualification due to Davenport’s interference.
With the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match underway, it will be intriguing to see how Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre handle the challenge of defending their title against the formidable duo of Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.

In addition to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, several other championship bouts are set to take place at Bash in Berlin. These include the WWE Undisputed Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, as well as the World Title match featuring Gunther and Randy Orton. The event will also showcase non-title matches, such as the Strap Match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, and a Mixed Gender Tag Team match pitting Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley against Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan.
