The Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster gets finalized today ahead of their 2024 season opener in Brazil on Sept. 6.
After a month of training camp practices and three preseason games, tough decisions will be made by Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst.
Who will be the team’s kicker? How many wide receivers will the Packers keep? How will the Packers sort out the running back depth chart? And is the Packers’ backup quarterback decided after the trade with Tennessee for Malik Willis on Monday? Where does that leave Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt?
The roster deadline is 3 p.m. Tuesday. Many of the players cut could find their way back to Green Bay as members of the practice squad. Gutekunst can re-sign 16 players to the practice squad starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
